COLTS 2018 Coaching and Management Vacancies

Southern Districts Rugby Club Colts are excited to announce the re-appointment of Don Mackinnon as Colts group Head Coach, and 1st Grade Colts Head Coach, together with Michael Black as 1st Grade Colts Assistant Coach, for the 2018 season.
The extent of Don and Michael’s achievements in 2017 with the performance of 1st Grade Colts, and the Colts playing group as a whole, has been significant, and the club is extremely excited about our prospects in the 2018 season. Most of the technical and logistical requirements are now in place, and with the expected continuity from this season, the club believes that its Colts program will become one of the best programs for player development in the Shute Shield competition. The primary aim of the program is the betterment of Southern Districts Rugby Club, and we’ll be focusing on building our club culture for the future, by bringing in our local schoolboy and junior club players and players outside our boundaries who want to join as they view Southern Districts as a family club that can help them in there rugby, work or study aspirations, and preparing them for the expected move into grade rugby and beyond.

The current Colts coaching group and support staff have been a fantastic group to be involved with, and they’ve all fully embraced the required work ethic and mateship that is now evident within the entire Colts group.
It is with regret that we’ll lose a number of this year’s coaches and support staff at the end of the season, with their sons moving up to grade, so therefore we are calling for applicants for the following positions:

  • 2nd Grade Colts Manager

  • 3rd Grade Colts Head Coach

  • 3rd Grade Colts Assistant Coach

  • 3rd Grade Colts Manager
